I am no chef, folks. in fact, I barely cook at all (something I'm working on, though- I want to be more helpful to my mother when it comes to making meals & also would like to be a good cook for my future family). BUT, there are a few recipes in my arsenal that I make pretty regularly. one of them being quiche.
oh, quiche, how I love thee. it's delicious and super simple + quick to make. it's one of those meals you make when you're drowning in eggs. not exactly something that is happening during this time of year, but I do find the occasional who-knows-how-old clutch that I need to use right away. & quiche does the job. I make two which uses up about 16 eggs.
I gave this one to my grandparents - that's why it's in the aluminum pan ;)
winging it is my style when it comes to quiche.
I'm not a huge fan of greens - go ahead, judge me - so I like to blend them up with my eggs. I do ham or bacon, cheese, caramelized onions (MY FAV), & a splash of milk on top before I slide it in the oven. don't forget the salt + pepper! no recipe needed.
the real reason I'm posting this is to share the easiest & possibly yummiest pie crust ever. I'm sure the butter-laden crusts are super delicious & flaky, but frankly, I'm too lazy & too intimidated to roll it out. this one just mixes together & then you can smoosh it into your pie pan & shape the pretty li'l edge.
super easy pie crust / makes one.
-1 1/2 cups flour
-1/2 teaspoon salt
-1/2 cup oil
-1/4 cup water
mix up the ingredients & form in the pie pan. voila!
let me know if you make it & if you like it! thanks for reading my amateur writing. hoping to find my rhythm in this whole blogging thing soon.
